In the last 30 years, there has been a proliferation of non-binding instruments (NBIs) in the field of the law of armed conflict (LOAC, also known as international humanitarian law or IHL). Addressing the topic of ‘International Law and Attachment’, the workshop will feature a keynote lecture by Gerry Simpson (London School of Economics and Political Science), and presentations by Alberto Rinaldi (Lund University), Zhen Sun (WMU-Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute), Ranyta Yusran (Lund University), and Marie Thøgersen (University of Copenhagen). The 5th Öresund International Law Workshop will take place at Lund University Faculty of Law on 13 June 2023.
